The Board of Trustees values the work of school councils and recognizes the vital role that they play in supporting RVS’ vision of being a world-class learning organization where all students achieve their absolute best.

Through the work of our School Councils Committee, the Board supports various initiatives for RVS' school councils, including the annual Joint Board and School Council Meeting, and orientation and bylaw workshops. The Board also supports membership in the Alberta School Councils’ Association for all RVS school councils and sponsors RVS delegates to attend their annual conference and general meeting.

As the Board continues to enhance and develop ways to support the work of school councils throughout the division, we are looking for input. A short survey has been developed to share your feedback.

The survey opens Jan. 13, 2025, and will remain open until midnight on Feb. 10, 2025. The feedback collected will be used to evaluate and improve the support RVS offers to our school councils.
