Consultation has concluded. The school has been named Horseshoe Crossing High School.
Thank you for your input!
Rocky View Schools' newest school will open in Langdon in September 2024 and needs a name!
There are a couple of ways parents/guardians, students and community members can help us find the perfect name for the new school. Apply to be on the naming committee or submit your suggestions for consideration.
Suitable names should:
Have significance for the students, parents and the community of the particular school and reflect the vision of RVS.
Be easily identifiable with the school.
Create a distinct identity relative to the names of other schools in RVS, or surrounding divisions.
Consider long-term impacts to the naming of future schools in the community.
Avoid specifying programs and/or grade configurations to provide for maximum flexibility in the future.
More information about the process and guidelines for naming schools in RVS can be found in AP 5402 - Naming of Facilities.
